Beresford Cookman is a London based Sound designer, mixer and foley recordist.  

His work is wide ranging; utilising field recordings, synthesis and sample manipulation to reach desired effects.  

Working for 7 years at Wave studios Beresford started with shorts and spots to hone the creative process and functional sound skills. Over the last 3 years, Beresford has gained significant experience mixing and designing on Johnnie Burn's film team; picking up accreditation on multiple academy award winning feature films as well as spots and documentaries.  

Beresford has worked with numerous big brands such as Sky, Cadburys, Redbull, Moss Bros, On-Running, Porsche and ASOS as well as large studios like Film4, Searchlight Pictures and Universal. 

Beresford is accredited on Academy and BAFTA award winning films, Zone of interest and Poor Things. Zone for the sound design awards specifically. Smaller awards are the Straight 8 Shootout gold and a Young Arrows Finalist award
